THE HEART AFFAIR by Rashi Dubey
“Beginning of any relationship is easy but being in it needs continuous efforts always” as rightly said by Author @rashidubey in her book THE HEART AFFAIR. Don’t we all put a lot of efforts when its the start of the relationship but as the “honeymoon period “ as it is rightly said fades we eventually lose that spark and give up on putting efforts, or sometimes one of us just starts taking things for granted? Haven’t we all taken up someone else’s help when we were in our last stages of mental breakdown and in those stages of vulnerability and emotion unavailability we have sometimes taken steps we regret till days, or we have controlled ourselves from taking any such steps which we will have to regret? We all ignore the things that we have, we are blessed with in changing things we don't have, and in that case, we often lose what we possessed and what was just ours, But does everything we lose means failure, every wrong step we take means end of the world? Aren’t there things like second chances, by which we can actually correct our mistakes?
It is a short story that deals with a relationship which is similar to all the modern relationships which we are seeing nowadays. It shows us strength love has and how sometimes it just takes little effort from both the sides to make things all right. We are no more in an era where having children will keep us bound till death do us apart marriages. We are in an era where people find love even at the age of 40, where people get divorced even after 20 years of love marriages, we are in an era where we don't forget to keep our hearts out.
But amidst all these things, don't we always just want to be with the person we love, and want that person to just notice the little efforts that we make, do those little anniversary celebrations that we decorate for, or appreciate or give compliments, don’t we all crave for such simple things.
If you are someone who is struggling with relationships, who is having a lot of problems in their marriage but those problems are related to ignorance, just check this book out, read this story maybe you can learn a little from these people, maybe you can make things alright. I am not a supporter of marriages should never end no matter how much another person is hurting you, I am just a supporter of making things right in a relationship where they can be right again.
I must say the Author Rashi Dubey’s writing style is different and it connects to the heart , she writes on issues that we all face in our daily lives , but are too ashamed to admit or talk about , because of certain veil of happiness that we have on us to maintain every relation and bond that we have in the society . I loved reading her short story a must recommended one.
